Encompass Health is an exciting joint venture between St George’s Cancer Care Centre and the Southern Cancer Society based in Papanui, Christchurch.  This service delivers allied health and psychosocial services to support those wanting to live well with cancer.

Job Description

Are you someone who is high motivated, enthusiastic and quick to adapt in a friendly and supportive environment?  We are looking for an awesome counsellor who will support patients and whanau within our cancer care service.

At Encompass Health we’re proud of the positive impact we have in people’s lives.  When you work in this position, you will know you are making a significant difference to the lives of our patients as they move through their cancer journey. 

This is a part time position of 0.6 FTE.

Desired Skills and Experience

Your passion for excellence in the provision of patient care will make you stand out, but we know you will also bring more than this to your work.  You will also have:

  • NZ Counselling qualification
  • Health care experience
  • Experience in a cancer care setting (ideal but not essential)
  • A demonstrated commitment to excellence in the provision of patient care
