Job Description

Mō te tūnga | About our Role:

If you’re energetic and have an interest in people, their wellbeing and attention to detail, we have a great opportunity for you.  We are seeking a wonderful Support Services Assistant to work on a part time basis in our friendly team. St George’s Hospital is a fabulous place to work and you’ll have the opportunity to work across our surgical wards providing non-clinical support including housekeeping services when required.  Your contribution in this role is integral to both our team’s success and our patient’s positive experience.

The role is a rostered part time position of 0.5 FTE and includes morning, afternoon and night duties including some weekend shifts.

You may already have experience in a similar role but if you have the right attitude, you can learn the right skills on the job.  Irrespective or your experience, you will:

  • Be a reliable and effective team member
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff, patients and visitors
  • Demonstrate initiative and an ability to work unsupervised.
  • Be able to prioritise
  • Able to work rostered shifts
