Job Description

Mō te tūnga | About our Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for exceptional registered nurses with orthopaedic experience in theatre to join our friendly and experienced operating theatre team.  As a private hospital we offer a broad range of surgical specialities and you will have the opportunity to work across them all and develop or enhance your speciality interests.

These are permanent full-time positions.  We can accommodate hours between 0.4 to 1.0 FTE.  Our Theatres generally operate Monday to Friday 0700 to 2100.  There is also the opportunity for weekend work (weekend rates would apply).  Availability for some 10-hour shifts would be an advantage.

Orthopaedics and spine experience in the operating theatre environment is essential.  You will also:

  • Be passionate for and provide high quality perioperative care
  • Have excellent supportive, engaging and positive team skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional practice, and professional and personal development
  • Be an excellent communicator, facilitator and advocate for patients
  • Be able to work with all our Hospital teams in all aspects of our service
  • Actively seek opportunities for relationship, practice and service development
  • Have the initiative and ability to contribute to and support best practice standards.

A current NZ Nursing Registration and practicing licence is essential.
