Mō te tūnga | About our Role:
We are seeking a skilled, motivated and passionate Executive Chef to lead our dedicated team and ensure the delivery of fresh, high-quality nutritious meals for patients, colleagues and visitors. You will have a genuine interest in producing excellent food that supports care and comfort. But this role isn’t just about excellent food delivery and presentation. It’s also about excellent relationship building and accommodating the various dietary needs of a busy hospital.
Responsible for managing the daily operations of our hospital kitchen and Cafe Georgio's, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchen and all food meets strict standards of hygiene, safety and nutrition and presentation. You will also be responsible for financial management, stock control and ordering.
Your experience developing menus that accommodate a range of clinical dietary requirements will be essential.
Desired Skills and Experience

You will have operational and financial excellence within a kitchen context and a comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene management is a given. In addition you will have:
Extensive experience (8+) years in a senior position
Proven leadership ability within a kitchen environment
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in food with a consumer/patient focus
Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering menus that meet specific dietary, allergy and clinical requirements
Demonstrated leadership qualities with exceptional relationship building and communication skills
The ability to inspire and develop your team
Be adept at managing multiple pieces of work and prioritizing
Be a co-operative and supportive team player with an inclusive working style
